Rules for 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

  • 11-minute game or 21 points, whichever comes first
    •  Note: Final 4 games will be 15-minute games or 21 points, whichever comes first
  • 1/2 court for each game - 2’s (three-point line) and 1’s (inside the three-point line)
  • Teams will have alternating possessions (no make-it, take-it)
  • All change of possessions must clear the ball to the three-point line
  • The ball must be passed in to start play from the top of the 3 point line
  • All 'jump balls/tie ups' are awarded to the DEFENSE
  • Each team gets one :30 second timeout (injury timeouts controlled by game officials)
  • Substitutions on dead ball only- 4-minute break between games
  • 10+ Team Fouls - 1 Free Throw, No Disqualifications on Personal Fouls
  • Shooting fouls are awarded 1 free throw.
    • 1 point attempt: 1 made free throw = 1 point
    • 2 point attempt (made): 1 made free throw = 1 point
    • 2 point attempt (missed): 1 made free throw = 2 points
  • Home wears Blue, Away wears Red
  • Home Team starts with possession at the beginning of the game
